The colorful and meaningful stained glass windows in our church were created and handcrafted by Isabel and Edith Piczek in their Los Angeles studio called Construction Art Center.

The artists chose to adorn churches with their creations of art executed in stained glass, mosiacs, or mural painting as their lifetime vocation. They have completed such artworks for 78 churches in California, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Canada, and Italy. Their work can be found in the Cathedral of Reno, the Nellis Airforce Base Chapel in Las Vegas, the Pontifical Biblical Institute in Rome, etc.

The Piczek Sisters were born in Hungary, where they started their art training early as students of their father. While still in their teens, they chose to flee Hungary, which at that time was under control of the Nazis. They fled across the Alps by foot, through the harsh winter. They were helped by ministers, priests, and nuns as they trudged across three borders.

They came to the United States in 1957, establishing their studio in Los Angeles where they worked long hours to create their religious artworks. They took great pride in completing the stained glass windows of Messiah. Their heartfelt desire to translate the maginficent teachings of our Faith into the inspiration of symbolism and sparkling colors for the glory of God.
